Where is the resort located?
Our resort is located at the heart of Hanifaru Bay, Unesco Biosphere Reserve in Baa Atoll – Republic of Maldives, 117 kilometers north of the capital Malé.
What’s the weather like at Kihaa?
The Maldives experiences good weather conditions throughout the year. The average air temperature is close to 30 degrees Celsius and water temperature constant at around 28 degrees Celsius.
June, July and August will often see a chance of stronger breezes and short sharp showers, however, the tropical climate results in relatively minor variations in daily temperature and a great deal of sunshine all year round.

The resort has 124 villas and there are 12 distinctive villa concepts.

What is the maximum occupancy per villa?
- Beach Villa: 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (children = below 12 years old).
- Beach Villa with Private Pool: 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (children = below 12 years old).
- Beach Suite with Infinity Pool: 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (children = below 12 years old).
- Water Villa: 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (children = below 12 years old). Children are not recommended in the over-water villas.
- Water Suite: 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (children = below 12 years old). Children are not recommended in the over-water villas.

Do you allow children in over-water villas?
Children below 12 years old are not recommended in the over-water villas.
What do you provide for Honeymooners? Do you have a special honeymoon offer?
We are pleased to offer the following package to our honeymoon guests:

Extended turn-down service
Marriage certificate must be presented at check-in and the marriage date shall fall within 6 months. *Minimum of 4N stay at the resort is required
Do you accept Credit Cards? Why do I have to send a credit card authorization form, when I already gave my credit card details online?
Yes, we accept VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS.
According to the Maldives anti-fraud law the resort requires additional proof when charging the guest’s credit card.
We also accept US Dollars, British Sterling Pounds and Euros.
We request you to please settle your account a day prior to departure by 22:00 at Reception. Last-minute bills can be settled in the morning before your departure time.
It is not advised to change any money to the local currency, major foreign currencies can be changed at Reception and the main currency on Kihaa is the US Dollar. Within the resort, you are asked to sign all your extras to your room. You may check your bill status anytime.
What is the Check-in time and Check-out time?
The resort check in time is at 14.00. Early check-in may be provided by booking an additional night. Check-out is at 12noon, late checkout can be guaranteed by booking an additional night.
Where do I find the cancellation policy?
You can find the cancellation policy several places throughout the reservations process. On the Rooms & Rates page, you can find the policy in the rate “details” link or the room description. You can also find the policy on the Guest Information page, once a room and rate have been selected. Additionally, you can find the cancellation policy on both the confirmation page and the printable confirmation page.
What is a Promotion Code?
Promotion codes are a special line of characters that accompany promotions run by the hotel. They should be entered in the Preferences section of the Dates & Preferences page.
Can I book a specific room in advance? Can I request for a special room and location?
Due to the nature of the resort, we will not be able to book and confirm a specific room number and location in advance. However we will certainly do everything we can to allocate a room as per your request and this is strictly subject to availability upon arrival.
Is there a doctor on the island?
Yes. If you feel unwell during your stay, please report it immediately to our Reception. Please avoid practicing self-medication while being on the island.
Doctor
A resident doctor is available to attend to your health care needs and our clinic is located near the main restaurant. Please note that charges for the doctor’s services and medication are applicable. Should you need advice or assistance please contact Reception.
Hospital
The nearest hospital is in Dharavaandhoo, Baa Atoll. Please contact the Doctor for any questions or required assistance.
Hyperbaric chamber
Should there be unfortunate diving accidents involving any of our guests, the closest hyperbaric chamber is in Kuredu Island Resort, reachable in 1 hour by speedboat.
What is the is Island’s Dresscode?
Beachwear and swimsuits are allowed in the resort. Light cotton dresses are recommended to suit the humidity and equatorial temperatures.
The Maldives is an Islamic country and nudity is strictly prohibited. Tourists are requested to wear clothes that cover thighs and upper body while visiting inhabited islands.
How do i get to Kihaa Maldives?
Our airport team will meet you at Velana International Airport and will assist you through the check-in of your domestic flight or Seaplane flight. Domestic transfers or Seaplane transfers luggage Allowance:Maximum baggage allowance per person for domestic flight transfer is 20kg for checked and 5kg for hand luggage. Any excess luggage is chargeable for a cost of US$ 5 per kg. Transfers (Domestic or Seaplane) can be arranged only for international flights which are arriving to Male before 16:30 Hrs and for the departure international flights which are leaving from Male after 09:00 Hrs. All guests who arrive or depart outside of these times are required to arrange their own accommodation at Male City at their own cost. All tourists have to submit a health declaration form on the Maldives immigration portal 96 hours before travel to the islands (and then again, prior to departure).
ARRIVAL & TRANSFER
How do i get to Kihaa Maldives?
Our airport team will meet you at Velana International Airport and will assist you through the check-in. Transfer is by Domestic flight or Seaplane flight, which is 30 min by domestic flight and another 05 min by speed boat transfer to the resort for domestic transfer while seaplane flight is 30 min landing direct to resort. Note The maximum baggage allowance per person for domestic flight transfer is 20kg for checked baggage and 5kg for hand luggage. Any excess luggage is chargeable at a cost of 5.00 US$ per kg. Domestic transfers can be arranged only for international flights which arrive at Velana International Airport before 16:30 or which depart after 09:00. All guests who arrive or depart outside of these times are required to arrange their own accommodation at Male City at their own cost.
What are the prohibited imports?
Pornographic literature, idols of worship, pork products and certain other animal products, explosives, weapons or drugs may not be imported.
WINE & DINE
I have a strict dietary requirement. Will the menus offer enough choice?
Please indicate any special dietary requirements you may have upon confirming the reservation. Please note that all our menus already feature vegetarian and other special dietary. The Food & Beverage Manager and the Chef will be pleased to meet you for any specific requests you may have.
I would like to have some specific products/brands for my consumption?
It is our pleasure to provide you with any special requirements you may have. Kindly note that due to the isolation of the Maldives, advance notice is paramount. Our Food & Beverage Manager and Executive Chef will check the availability of the products and provide them to you. If necessary, they will also offer you alternatives.
Do you have any special menus for children?
Children’s menus are available in all restaurants, bars and pools. Baby food can also be arranged upon request, preferably to bring with you.
What is the dress code for restaurants?
For the convenience of our customers, we kindly ask you to cover your swimwear at lunch. In the evening, dress code is smart casual.
Do you have smoking/non-smoking seating areas?
For your comfort, every outlet offers seating areas designated for smoking and non-smoking guests.
Do I need to book any events in advance?
To ensure the availability of seats, we do recommend that you book events such as Wine Cellar dinners or Private beach dinners as well as Wedding ceremony prior to arrival.
Where can I get advice on wine selection or pairing on the island?
Our bar tenders are available upon request to meet you at your convenience and give you advice based on your preferences.
I would like to organize a special event. What can the KIHAA Maldives do for me?
In addition to the private dinners on the beach, we can tailor the event of your dreams such as, a dinner on a deserted island, a private cruise, a dinner in your villa and many others. Your special event can be organized prior to or upon arrival through Guest Relation Department.
Where I can have All inclusive meals?
You can have the All-inclusive meals at our main restaurant and if you wish to go a la carte restaurant, you will get 25% discount from the foods.
OTHER FACILITIES
What time does the water sport center open and does it offer motorized water activities like jet skiing?
The water sports center is open from 9:00 to 18:00 and offers motorized activities such as jet skiing, water skiing and many more.
Canoeing and paddle board are included in All-inclusive package, if not it will be SU$ 25 (subject to 10% service charge and 12% Tax) per hour per boat for the rental fee.
Wind surfing and can be used free of charge in All-inclusive package. However, if you need some lessons, there will be an additional charge.
Do we have to bring our own snorkeling equipment? Can we borrow fins and masks? How much do we have to pay for this?
The snorkeling equipment are available on rent basis from Ocean Dimension Dive Center. The cost will be US$ 10 (subject to 10% service charge and 12% Tax) per set per day.
What is the safest area around the resort for snorkeling?
Snorkeling around the island is safe, we recommend to snorkel on the reef near the jetty area inside the lagoon.
I read from trip advisor there is no house reef around the KIHAA Maldives, would you please confirm me on that?
We have a reef on the east and west side of the island, accessible through the jetty.
In addition, we offer snorkeling trips to various spots just minutes away from the resort, where rays, turtles and mantas (in season) can be seen.
Is there a kid club in the resort? What are the opening times and from what age is allowed?
Kids Club is open daily from 09:00 to 12:00 and 1300 to 1800
Children between 3 and 12 years old are welcome to join all activities. Children below 3 must come with a parent or a baby sitter
Is access to the Kids Club complimentary?
Yes, the Kids’ Club is free of charge for all our young guests. Charges may occur for selected activities or babysitting US$ 25 per hour per kid (maximum 02 hours).
How many pools are there at the KIHAA Maldives and what is the difference?
Undhoali Bar is the infinity pool on the island where you can enjoy the view of ocean and sunset in the evening. And Raiveriya Bar is the place for time to spend with your family in the afternoon for relaxing. Towel in the pool is provided for guest convenience.
What includes as beverages in the menu for All-inclusive package?
It includes a selection of beverages – soft drinks, tea, coffee, beers, wines, juices, water, cocktails and liquors. In the menus All inclusive beverages are marked with “manta ray” symbol.
Does In-Villa Dinning includes All-inclusive package?
You can have you breakfast only in main restaurant “Malaafaiy Restaurant”.
GENERAL TO KNOW
Do you have strollers for the babies?
We do not have it, you may bring with you.
Do you have provided baby cribs and do I have to reserve it?
The baby cribs are available and it provides on complimentary basis upon guest request.
Do you have a clinic or doctor on the island?
We have first service at the resort, incase if you need to go for doctor we can arrange to nearby hospital which is 20 min by speed boat transfer from KIHAA Maldives.
Do you allow handicap guests at the resort?
We are most welcome for the disable guests, we can do the necessary arrangement in the villa. Wheel chair can be arranged upon request.
Can we use Drone in our holiday?
We have restricted area for drone due to safety and privacy of our valued guests. However, we have specific location decided by resort management, you may check upon arrival at the resort with front desk.
Do you have mosquitos and do you have replant?
As this is a tropical island there is chance for mosquitos, however our pest team control it by fogging the island morning and evening. The mosquito replant is available for purchase in our guest shop.
